**The health belt** is built with the same measurements as the inner belt. The method of
taking measurements shall also be applied in the same manner.

**To begin to draft,** draw a line, as usual, from 1 to 2 and also from 1 to 3. From 1 to 3
measure half of waist measurement or 22 inches. From 3 to 4 measure 3 inches for darts,
from 4 to 5 raise up with 2 inches and from 5 to 6 also raise with 2 inches. Measure from
1 to 8, 6 inches hip length, and from 1 to 2, 10 inches full length of health belt. Measure
from 5 to 9, 6 inches hip length, and from 5 to 10, 10 inches full length, and draw a line
across from 8 to 9 and 2 to 10. Measure from 8 to 9, half of hip measurement or 24
inches, and draw a line from 5 to 9 down to 10. Then curve from 6 to 5 down to 10, as
shown on diagram, for a high back raise for the health belt.

**Now raise from 1 to X,** 2 inches, and from X to 7, 2 inches on the front line, and connect 7 to 6 and X to 5, as shown on diagram. Now divide the space on the line from X
to 5, making 12, and the same from 2 to 10, making 13, and draw a line from 13 to 12 up
to 11. Now make the front panel. Measure from X to 14, 3 inches, and from 2 to 15, 3½
inches, and draw a line from 14 to 15. Take out each side of 14 to 22 and 23, ¼ inch, and
lose with a curve down to 47. Take out each side of 15 to 25 and 26, ½ inch, and curve,
as shown on diagram, up to 48. Lower from 2 to A at the front bottom, 1 inch, and connect a line from A to 13 for long effect at the bottom of front. Now divide the space between 14 and 12, making 16, and between 15 and 13, making 17, and draw a line from 16
to 17. Take out each side of 16 to 27 and 28, ¼ inch, and curve down to 49. Take out each
side of 17 to 29 and 30, ½ inch, and curve up to 50, as shown on diagram. Curve the bottom
of the front from 25 up to 2 or use the full length from 25 to A. Continue with curves
in lengthening f ront bottom at 26 from 30 to B and 29 to A to 13, as shown on diagram.
This completes the front part of the health belt.

**Now begin the back part.** Divide into 3 equal parts the top of the waist line from 6
to 11, making 18 and 19. Also divide into 3 equal parts the space between 10 and 13, making 20 and 21, and draw lines from 18 to 20 and 19 to 21. Take out each side of 31 to 32
and 33, ¼ inch, and curve down to hip to 46. Curve from 32 to 34 and 33 to 35, in the
manner shown on diagram, with a trifle less taken out at 18 than has been taken out at
31. At each side of 38 to 39 and 40, take out ½ inch and curve down to 45, and raise curve,
as shown on diagram, from 39 to 41 and 40 to 42. Now take out each side of 20, to 36 and
37, ½ inch, and curve up to hip at 46. In the same way, take out each side of 21 to 43 and
44, ½ inch, and curve up to 45.

**Now make curve at the waist line.** Raise up from X to 24, ½ inch, and curve from 24
to 23, 22 to 28. Connect a line from 16 to 11. Take half of 16 to 11, making 51. From 51
to 52 is 1 inch for deepness of curve, and curve from 27 to 52 and 11 to 42. This completes
the health belt. This pattern has no seams allowed and use the information given on inner
belts for all seam allowances.
